New Packages

One of the first questions I get is “How must does a website cost?”. I have two anwsers to that:

  1. That is like asking how much it costs to build a house. First tell me how many rooms, how many stories, etc.
In other words: What do you need?
  2. My basic package starts at $500

I love my basic package. I firmly believe that websites don’t have to be expensive. I love it when a client has a website up and running within a week and I see him happily adding more pages and pictures by himself.

In reality however, many clients need a little more preparation before we can build a website. I have been struggling with the content-design chicken-egg problem for a while and found that this can seriously delay the delivery of a website. Not good.

The problem with the content-design issue is that a design for a 20 page website with scrolling pages and sub menus is very different from a design for a 5 page site with minimal content. So ideally I want to have as much text and images as possible before I start building or designing anything. However with some clients the content only starts to flow once there is a website. This is understandable. Only when you see real webpages and you have a menu to click on, you get a feel of how you want to lay out your content.

So hence the birth of a new package. In this package you will get a prototype website before we build or design anything. You can create and update pages online, like a real website, but there is minimal design and the main purpose is to get your content up first and then design around that. In this package there is also more time for me to help you with your content as it includes 3 hours of extra consultancy.
